We are looking for an engaged licensed special teacher/special educator with high competence and experience in teaching various groups.

Skarpatorpsskolan is located in the Skarpnäck district and has about 540 students and 100 staff members. Skarpatorpsskolan is a K-9 school situated in the heart of Skarpnäck, close to both nature and the subway station.

Your role

We are looking for a special teacher for teaching in various groups, such as special education groups and individual instruction.

As a special teacher, your responsibilities include:

• Taking responsibility for and having insight into students' results, i.e., being attentive to each student's conditions and needs.
• Having high expectations for students and their ability to develop.
• Engaging and stimulating students' curiosity, interest, and learning.
• Taking responsibility for relevant professional development to grow and evolve in your profession.

Together with your teaching colleagues, you will provide high-quality education, constantly testing and developing methods, and working purposefully to enhance students' learning and improve results.

We offer

Teachers have subject team meetings once a week where teaching and knowledge development are discussed. Topics covered include systematic quality work, equitable assessments, language-developing approaches, clear pedagogical practices, cooperative learning, and digital competence. Co-assessment is conducted at teacher meetings at least once a month.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for someone with a teaching license as a special teacher who has good collaboration skills, is flexible, solution-focused, and proactive. You view collegial learning as a natural starting point for creating new and deepened knowledge. You lead and organize work to create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and collaboration. You follow up, assess, communicate, and document the student's knowledge development, thereby supporting the student towards increasingly conscious learning.
